Before Your Treatment

To ensure safe and effective results from your IPL or laser treatment, please follow these guidelines:

• Avoid sun exposure, tanning and fake tan for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment.

• Wear SPF 50+ daily in the lead up to your appointment.

• Avoid waxing, plucking or threading the treatment area for 2–4 weeks prior, as the hair follicle must remain intact for treatment effectiveness.

• Shave the treatment area 12–24 hours before your appointment if advised by your clinician.

• Discontinue the use of retinoids, exfoliants and active skincare products 3–5 days before treatment.

• Inform your clinician of any medications, recent skin treatments or changes in your medical history.

• Ensure the skin is clean and free from makeup, deodorant or lotions on the day of treatment.

Aftercare

Following your IPL or laser treatment, it is normal to experience mild redness, warmth or sensitivity in the treated area.

To support healing and achieve the best results:

• Avoid direct sun exposure and continue wearing SPF 50+ daily.

• Avoid excessive heat including saunas, hot showers, steam rooms and intense exercise for 24–48 hours.

• Keep the skin hydrated using gentle skincare products.

• Avoid exfoliating products, retinoids and active ingredients for several days post treatment.

• Do not pick, scratch or exfoliate the treated area.

• Pigmentation may temporarily darken before naturally fading.

• Hair shedding following laser hair removal may occur over 1–3 weeks.

Multiple treatments are often recommended for optimal results depending on your skin concerns and treatment goals.
