BIOSTIMULATORS

Biostimulation is an advanced treatment designed to support the skin’s natural collagen production process and help address visible signs of facial ageing.
This treatment works by stimulating fibroblasts — the cells responsible for producing collagen — helping to improve skin quality, firmness and overall skin support over time.
Unlike traditional volume-replacing treatments, biostimulators focus on encouraging gradual collagen renewal and enhancing the skin’s natural structure for subtle, long-lasting rejuvenation.
Biostimulator treatments are commonly used to support skin laxity, improve texture and promote a refreshed, natural-looking appearance.

PREPARATION & AFTERCARE
Before Your Treatment
To help minimise bruising and support the best possible treatment outcome, we recommend:
-
Avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours prior to treatment.
-
Avoid anti-inflammatory medications and supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E where medically appropriate and approved by your doctor.
-
Avoid strenuous exercise on the day of treatment.
-
Attend your appointment with clean skin free from makeup where possible.
-
Inform your clinician of any medications, medical conditions, recent cosmetic treatments or skin infections.
-
Please advise your clinician if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or prone to cold sores.
Aftercare
Following your biostimulation treatment, mild swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising may occur and generally settles within several days.
To support healing and optimise collagen stimulation:
-
Avoid touching, rubbing or applying pressure to the treated area for 24 hours unless instructed otherwise.
-
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot showers and excessive heat for 24–48 hours.
-
Continue wearing SPF daily and avoid excessive sun exposure.
-
Keep the skin hydrated and follow any skincare recommendations provided by your clinician.
-
Avoid alcohol for the remainder of the day where possible.
-
Depending on the treatment performed, your clinician may recommend gentle massage of the treated area.
Biostimulation treatments work gradually by supporting the skin’s natural collagen production process, with improvements continuing to develop over the following weeks and months.
