Before Your Treatment

To help minimise swelling and bruising and ensure the best possible results, we recommend:

• Avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours prior to treatment.

• Avoid anti-inflammatory medications and supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil and vitamin E where medically appropriate and approved by your doctor.

• Avoid strenuous exercise on the day of treatment.

• Attend your appointment with clean skin free from makeup where possible.

• Inform your clinician of any medications, skin infections, recent cosmetic procedures or medical conditions.

• Please advise your clinician if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or prone to cold sores.

Aftercare

Following your PDO Thread treatment, mild swelling, tenderness, bruising and tightness may occur and are considered normal during the healing process.

To support healing and optimise your results:

• Avoid touching, rubbing or massaging the treated area unless instructed otherwise.

• Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, saunas and hot showers for 48 hours.

• Sleep on your back with your head elevated for several nights where possible.

• Avoid excessive facial movements, dental treatments and facial massages for approximately 2 weeks.

• Keep the treatment area clean and follow any skincare advice provided by your clinician.

• Avoid alcohol and smoking where possible during the initial healing period.

• Temporary unevenness, tightness or tenderness may occur as the threads settle.

Results continue to improve over the following weeks as collagen stimulation occurs and the skin naturally rejuvenates.
